The Friends of Bedford Burying Grounds is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2009. We are a group of local volunteers who work toward the conservation and preservation of Bedford’s over 30 private and public cemeteries,

We typically meet weekly to work in and explore Bedford’s cemeteries. We clean and straighten stones, uncover buried stones, identify stones that will require professional repairs, do historical and genealogical research and take photographs.

We have digitized Bedford’s printer cemetery records and are working to add even more information to that records such as transcriptions of headstones, veteran war service, and digital photographs.
